Agrahyah Technologies which a startup, specialises in building non-English and ver nacular language based tech products and content, has won a pitch called for by Kaza khstan to increase English lit eracy where less than 5 per cent of people know the language. Agrahyah Technologies was selected to be a part of Alpha Startups at Web Sum- mit, the world’s biggest tech- nology conference where over 60,000 participants gath- er to learn, share, network and collaborate. This is where Kazakhstan’s pitch competi- tion was held, and Agrahyah Technologies’ entry was ad- judged as winner. The strate gy proposed was to use mo bile based technology to
make English culturally rele vant, create open online edu-cation avenues with job assist and gamify the whole learn ing experience to achieve the target of reaching 20 per cent English literacy by year 2020. Agrahyah Technologies is founded and run by three en trepreneurs, Rushabh Vasa, Sreeraman Thiagarajan and Uppal Shah.
